Dr. Baz has a strong focus on clinical chemistry and molecular diagnostics of inherited disorders. She has contributed significantly to the field through her research and publications, with numerous articles available on platforms like ORCID and Europe PMC. Her areas of expertise are genetics of addiction and inherited disorders, as well as wide research in clinical chemistry.
Professor of clinical and chemical pathology at Cairo University. Dr. Baz completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1999, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Pathology in 2004, and a Doctorate in Clinical and Chemical Pathology in 2010, Cairo University. Dr. Baz also holds a Health care quality excellence Diploma, AUC.

Professor of Clinical and Chemical Pathology Department, Kasr Alainy Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo university, with special interest in the clinical molecular biology of neuroscience of addiction and several publications in this area. Also, have special interest in Clinical Chemistry, with a valuable publication in setting the Egyptian reference intervals of general chemistry analytes in collaboration with C-RIDL, by the international federation of clinical chemistry. Also, Dr. Baz has a Healthcare Quality Excellence Diploma from the AUC, Cairo.
